Have a BIG Heart for The Children’s Home

We have some BIG news! We are Hosting our 2nd Annual iHeart Radiothon!

Meet Ava, our Radiothon Ambassador. Ava is a bright and resilient young girl who has been a part of Child’s Way Daycare at The Children’s Home & Lemieux Family Center for an incredible 13 years. Her journey began as an infant, when Ava spent time at The Pediatric Specialty Hospital at The Children’s Home, and it was there that her mom, Lauren, first discovered Child’s Way— a nurturing daycare specifically designed for medically fragile children. Over the years, Ava has thrived in this unique environment, learning invaluable lessons, forming lifelong friendships, and experiencing the world in ways that might not have been possible otherwise. For Lauren and Ava, Child’s Way has become a second family, offering not just medical care but a community of love and support. As the only facility of its kind, Child’s Way provides more than just a safe place for Ava; it offers an alternative to in-home medical care, giving both Ava and her family the opportunity to grow, laugh, and live fully.

This February 12th and 13th, The Children’s Home is teaming up with iHeart Radio’s BIG 104.7 country radio station for our second annual radiothon. With the help of much-loved radio personalities, Bobby Bones, Angie Ward, and Pittsburgh’s own, Mike Kasper, The Children’s Home hopes to raise $50,000 over the course of two days to support needs in our Pediatric Specialty Hospital, Child’s Way, Adoption & Permanency, Counseling, Therapy Services and Pediatric VIEW programs.

How can you help?

Donate Today!

  • Become a radiothon sponsor. If you are a business owner or know someone who is, this opportunity is BIG! Through your sponsorship of The Children’s Home radiothon, iHeart Media will provide radio, website, and social media advertisements, on air interviews, streaming impressions and more. Your sponsorship will not only support fragile infants and children, but also provides opportunities to grow your business with an expansive audience. For more information about sponsorship opportunities, please reach out to Bethany Bartilson at bbartilson@chomepgh.org, or call 412-441-4002.
  • Listen to BIG 104.7 on February 12th and 13th from 6am to 6pm and call in to donate. EVERY dollar helps!
  • Have a BIG heart and become a member of our monthly donor group: The Friends Club. Monthly donations provide consistent support to families where it’s needed most. The Friends Club is for those who want to make an ongoing commitment to supporting critical services to children and families served by The Children’s Home. Become a Friends Club member for as little as $5 per month and know you are making a difference in the lives of children in need.
  • Volunteer for our radiothon phone bank. We need all hands and hearts on deck at The Children’s Home to help answer live calls during the two-day radiothon. If you would like to answer the call to volunteer, please reach out to Kelsey Myers at kmyers@chomepgh.org, or call 412-441-4884.

You can have a BIG HEART for The Children’s Home February 12th and 13th!

Interested in sponsoring the upcoming radiothon? email JeromeGordon@iheartmedia.com for more information.
