The Children’s Home & Lemieux Family Center seeks new and experienced registered nurses to join our 4-unit, 30-bed Pediatric Specialty Hospital, caring for patients from birth to age 21.

We offer a hospital experience like no other by providing family-centered care in a home-like atmosphere. We provide families with a dedicated space to learn, adjust, and spend time together, and support them by providing the teaching they need. Our Pediatric Specialty Hospital maintains a low nurse to patient ratio to ensure our registered nurses have time to learn about and address the individualized needs for each patient and their family. Full-time registered nurses work three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating both days and nights and every other weekend.

The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh is looking for Nursing Students who would like to work as Casual PCTs in our Pediatric Specialty Hospital.

(Requirement of 24 hours in a 6 week period and 4 week orientation in Pediatric Specialty Hospital-4 unit, 30 bed hospital, serving anywhere from birth to the age of 21.)

This program provides opportunities for PCTs to receive hands on experience and to learn about our facility before transitioning into an RN position in our pediatric Specialty Hospital.
