
Marnie began working at The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh and Lemieux Family Center in August 2019, first as an intern and then as a full time Permanency Social Worker beginning in July 2020. Marnie focuses on preparing families to adopt children from the foster care system, by providing Family Profile, Placement, and Finalization units of service and supporting them throughout the matching and foster care process. In addition to this, Marnie prepares children for permanency by delivering Child Preparation units of service through the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network. Before coming to The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh, Marnie worked as a Kinship Caregiver Program Social Worker for Catholic Charities and as a Family Educator for Head Start. Marnie completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University.
