For the last 14 years, Joe has provided social work services to Transitional Care families, while overseeing all of the medical and developmental services for each Transitional Care infant, at The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center. Joe conducts adoptive family studies and recruits adoptive families for special needs infants by working with other agencies throughout Pennsylvania. As The Children’s Home’s Authorized Representative for Search and Reunion services, Joe was actively involved on one of the committees with OCYF that drafted Act 101. Prior to this position at The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh, Joe worked as a mental health therapist at a rape crisis center and at a center for abused and neglected children. Joe earned a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Pittsburgh in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania.
