In Celebration of Volunteer Appreciation Week (April 19 – April 25)
A message from the Volunteer Coordinator:
I want to thank each and every volunteer for supporting The Children’s Home while we work through this pandemic. Since we are unable to celebrate volunteer appreciation week in person this year, we wanted to give a big, virtual THANK YOU! Throughout the week of April 19th, keep an eye out for special Volunteer Appreciation Week posts on our social media platforms.
This past year, over 140 Patient Care Volunteers in our program have made a difference by directly impacting our patients, families, children, and staff! We’ve also worked with some amazing companies, including PNC, PPG Paints, BNY Mellon, and FedEx to name a few! Over 10,000 hours of volunteer time were accumulated in 2019. As an added bonus, over $50,000 in grants were awarded to The Children’s Home from corporate volunteerism. We look forward to more wonderful hours filled with fun, gratitude, compassion, and service!
As always, THANK YOU for everything you do to make The Children’s Home such a wonderful place for our patients, families, and staff. HAPPY VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WEEK!
