|Fun fact about your family: We love spending time with family & friends.
As parents, we can’t wait to: Love & cherish our baby!
How our story began
We met in 2008 on a blind date through John’s aunt, who I worked with professionally in a local suburban school district. After many attempts at having us meet, we decided to finally take John’s aunt’s advice and go on our first date. We spoke for hours and definitely felt a connection. After 8 exciting months of dating, John proposed on Mother’s Day. A little over a year later, in 2010 with all of our family and friends with us, we were married. We are blessed to have found each other.
Family is forever
We consider our families as the most important part of our lives. We both come from loving, supportive, and close families. We both grew up spending a great deal of our time with our large extended families. We have wonderful memories of the times we have spent with our grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren. We continue this tradition even now as adults. We are beyond thrilled and excited to welcome a new baby to our large and loving family!
Our Adoption Journey
We have always dreamed of having a family. After years of losses and unsuccessful attempts at having a family, we took time to heal and decided on adoption. We are excited to begin the adoption journey and the prospect of having the opportunity to grow our family. Our child will grow in our hearts. We will raise our child to be compassionate, kind, loving, and above all else happy.
John and Tonia
We happily live in the city of Pittsburgh. We have put much love into renovating our home, which was Tonia’s grandparents’ home. Keeping it in the family has meant a great deal to the both of us. We cannot wait to share it with our child. We have family and friends who live nearby, and we love entertaining at home and spending time with them. We have three beautiful rescue cats, our three amigos, who are loving and friendly. We enjoy spending time together, even if it is an outing to the grocery store! We love cooking together and cherish our family dinners together at home. Quality time with family is very important to us, and we look forward to passing this on as we become parents.
Tonia has a Master’s degree in Education and is a Middle School Counselor in a great suburban school district in the South Hills. Recently, Tonia was awarded the Promising Practitioners Award from the Pennsylvania Association for Middle Level Education. She loves spending her days teaching children the value of being kind, respectful, and compassionate. With the challenges that kids face emotionally and academically today, Tonia is blessed to have the opportunity to help children build self-esteem and self-confidence. With a profession in education and working in a school, Tonia enjoys the summers off, which will be a great opportunity to spend extra time with a new addition to our family. Tonia’s other passion, aside from helping children, is health and fitness. She is a health and fitness coach and is dedicated to helping others reach their health and fitness goals. She supports and encourages her clients throughout their journey. Tonia is selfless and always is there to help others. She takes care of so many people and loves to spread joy!

The road ahead….
We understand that there is a plan for us in this world. It has not been easy, but it isn’t easy for many people. We are grateful to have one another and our families. We appreciate each and every day we are able to be here on this earth. We cherish spending time with our parents as they age, our siblings, and our extended families. We have been blessed to watch our six nieces and nephews grow into wonderful people. We would love to add another part of our family to the loving family we are already a part of. Having a child to take care of and instill our values with would mean the world to us. Nothing is more sacred than bringing a child into this world and raising them to be respectful, kind, human beings. Your sacrifice as a parent to allow us the opportunity to have a family of our own means so much. Thank you for being the reason we can give a child a loving home.
