Fun fact about your family: We love to spending time in Lake Erie, PA. We enjoy biking, walking, running, fishing, and playing on the beaches at Presque Isle.
As parents, we can’t wait to: Give endless love and support to a child. Provide an environment to allow that child to grow up to be an amazing person.

Our home is in the beautiful foothills of the Laurel Highland Mountains, nestled between two elementary schools. There are soccer fields and a public playground nearby and many other young children live in our quiet, quaint neighborhood. We have a black lab named Fonzi who loves being around children and playing a game of fetch. Our indoor cat, Pumpkin, loves to watch the birds from his bed and chill with us on the porch.

We are both employed at the same company with schedules that allow for flexible hours and Eric can work from home. Our company offers daycare on-site which means we could visit a little one at any time during the day.

In our spare time, we try to stay active. We are both runners and Jean recently completed her first marathon, with Eric’s encouragement during her tough training. We love the outdoors and spend summer weekends at our family’s property on Lake Erie. Presque Isle is the perfect place for running, biking, kayaking and fishing on the lake in our family’s boat. We are die-hard Pittsburgh Penguins fans and while Jean LOVES the Steelers, Eric will forever support his Buffalo Bills.

We have been together for nearly two decades and married 16 years. Each year we grow stronger as a couple, despite the challenges our journey to become parents has brought.

Last year we lost our little girl, Grace, before she was born. It was our greatest heartache, especially considering the pregnancy was such a surprise after 12 years of trying to conceive with no luck. One silver lining that has come from our loss, however, is that loving Grace has only opened our hearts even further to the longing to become parents. We have dreamed for so long of being a full family and our hearts are filled with excitement and joy as we begin this adoption journey.

A Little about Jean Through Eric’s Eyes

My wife is an incredibly compassionate woman who places others needs before her own. She still amazes me every day. Jean’s passion is to take care of her family and I hope and pray she is given the opportunity to raise a child with as much love as I know she has to give. Jean was raised in a blue collar family that taught her the value of hard work. Even her profession as an administrative assistant proves she just can’t help but take care of others. Jean is at peace in nature and loves to be on the Youghiogheny trail taking in the beauty of the Western PA mountains and the rolling rivers. Jean is really active and she places great importance on living a physically and emotionally healthy lifestyle. My wife is destined to be a mother and I can’t wait to watch her realize that destiny.

A Little About Eric Through Jean’s Eyes

Eric steals my heart every day. He is silly, quirky, and can make me laugh even on my most challenging days. He has taught me that life is too short to be serious all the time. His smile and his laugh are contagious. Kids are drawn to him and absolutely love him. Eric has this uncanny ability to talk to anyone at any time, and he does. That can make a simple trip to the grocery store take a whole lot longer, but it is fun to watch. His heart is so big he will help anyone in need. Recently after a late flight home he spent an extra 30 minutes at the airport helping a man find his car. Eric’s drive, determination and intelligence amaze me. While working a very demanding full-time job, he was able to graduate this spring with this master’s degree in business administration. I can’t wait to see what is next for him.

Our Promise To You

We promise to parent with love, support and trust. This child will grow in our home knowing the value of education and its ability to empower him or her. We will nurture this child’s strengths and abilities and we will foster those things that provide fulfillment and joy. We will teach the importance of loving others and being respectful. There will be bedtime stories, family barbecues, weekend hikes, cookie baking, fishing trips, and above all there will be unconditional love.

We want you to be a part of your child’s life so he or she can understand and appreciate the tremendous sacrifice you have made, out of love. Your child will always know where he or she came from and how much you love him or her. We will respect and value their background and culture and teach them about both to the best of our abilities.

We are over the moon about becoming parents, there’s nothing we want more. We hope to start a relationship with you and we are looking for an open adoption at your comfort level. Thank you so much for taking time to learn about us and we can’t wait to communicate or even meet with you. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have.
