Matt and Alice

Dear Birth Parent,

We are seeking to adopt a child to complete our family.

We are a family of three: Alice, Matt, and our daughter Nora. Nora joined our family through adoption in 2019. We are so excited to welcome a second child into our family.

We chose adoption after a long fertility journey, and finding that biological children weren’t in the cards for us. This path has made our dreams come true. Nora is the light of our lives and brings us joy every day.

About our lives:

We live in a city neighborhood in Pittsburgh, with great schools and parks within walking distance. We have lots of extended family within a few miles of our home. We intentionally chose a neighborhood with a diverse school so that a child of any race would feel represented and have community.

Matt:

Matt works from home in a tech job. He’s a fun and loving father who always puts his family first. In his free time, he builds models and is even teaching Nora to build and paint and work with miniature electronics. His favorite things to do with Nora are building towers, taking her to the playground, and teaching her new things.

Alice:

Alice is a midwife and graduate student studying maternal health. She’s a patient and gentle mother. In her free time, she knits, quilts, and does craft projects. Her favorite things to do with Nora are cooking together, taking walks, and reading books.

Our jobs are flexible and we build our work schedules around family time. We both have 12 weeks of family leave ready for when our baby comes.

Nora:

Nora is a clever and active 2 year old. She is occasionally mischievous and often helpful, and loves to play with friends at school or on the playground. Her favorite activities are building, coloring, playing pretend in her play kitchen, and reading books.

Our extended family is close by and Nora spends a lot of time with her grandparents and cousins, in addition to close family friends with kids her age. She goes to day care with kids from 6 weeks to 4 years old, so she’s learned how to play with all age groups.

What we’re looking for:

We’d like to adopt a newborn of any race or sex. We are comfortable with any level of openness, but our preferences would be an open adoption and to maintain a relationship with our child’s birth family. We have a good relationship with Nora’s birth family and we think it will be good for her as she grows up. We have no preference about a boy or girl. Nora is so excited to have a little sibling. And she will be the best big sister. She’s so loving, gentle, sharing, and helpful.

We hope you’ll consider joining our family and making our dreams come true again!

Feel free to contact us at alicemattadopt@gmail.com.

Love, Alice, Matt, and Nora
