Fearless

I have always dreamed of having a child since a young age. I have always been playful, creative, and possess a vivid imagination. My whole life has been surrounded by children. From younger cousins to friends with younger siblings, I have spent a large portion of my life surrounded by children. In my mid-20s, I began to research various adoption services and surrogacy agencies. I had no idea how long the process would take, if the timing was right, or if I was even ready for this adventure. After spending some time on waiting lists, I decided the timing was not right, but I did decide adoption would be the right route for me. I later found The Children’s Home and felt compelled to begin the process with this agency. I was fearless this time around and knew I was ready for this journey. After spending quite some time on a waiting list, I was notified I could begin the process of adopting! I could not be any more excited. I am open to adopting a child of any race and welcome diversity in my life.

The Story of Us

Jeremy and I began dating in January 2018. We met through both being Registered Nurses and our work environment. We hit it off immediately and him and Greyson moved into my home by the summer of 2018. Greyson was born in February of 2017. Jeremy found the bravery and courage to come out as gay after Greyson’s birth after waiting for many years. The rest is history, as they say. Jeremy and I raise Greyson together and have mutual parenting goals and beliefs. We both have a close relationship with Greyson and are great parenting partners. I have strengths that are weaknesses for Jeremy and Jeremy has strengths that are weaknesses of mine. We utilize these strengths as a team to be two great dads! Greyson is supported, loved, and is the light of our lives.

Never Grow Up

Greyson is energetic, kind, and intelligent. He enjoys swimming, baseball, tennis, swimming in our pool, and riding his bike. He loves to be outside but also enjoys playing inside with board games, video games, and drawing pictures. While we want him to never grow up and stay little, he is growing up so fast! He would thrive on having a sibling to protect, play with, and love. Greyson has other younger cousins who he often plays with and assists adults with watching. He enjoys caring for and playing with other children. Currently, he is getting ready to start second grade.

Love Story

Jeremy and I enjoy swimming, trying various restaurants, and traveling. We are both Registered Nurses and currently are leaders in the field. We are compassionate and love working with people. We both enjoy traveling the globe and take several trips each year. Your child would be a part of this journey and would learn and grow by experiencing new cultures and sights! Introducing new places to your child will be a dream for us. In just the past few years, we have visited many places in Europe, the Caribbean, and many sights within the United States. We are always planning our next adventure and cannot wait to include your child!

Please know that your child will be loved and parented by both of us. Your child and Greyson will be a central part of our love story. I started this adoptive journey before Jeremy was around; however, this is a dream that Jeremy and Greyson get to be a part of. My dream would be for my child to have consistency and a safe, familiar bed to fall asleep in every night. Please know that both of us will be key in your child’s life and we will work together as always to ensure your child is loved, safe, and raised by parents who will communicate to be effective parents.

While Jeremy and I are alike in many ways, we are different in other ways. I have been a nurse since 2012 and have earned several degrees. I received my Doctorate in Nursing in March 2023. I love to teach others and leading nurses to improve the care that patients receive. I also love music, and I am completely obsessed with Taylor Swift and Mariah Carey. I can often be found singing (off-key) throughout the house. I also enjoy cars, reading books, and working out.

Jeremy has been a nurse since 2013. He too spent a significant amount of time in school and earned his Master’s in Nursing in 2023. Jeremy does not enjoy music as I do. However, he does tolerate my off-key singing, so that should count for something! Jeremy does enjoy preparing meals, cooking, and grilling. He also enjoys the outdoors. In the summer, he is typically in our pool or doing yard work.

Sweet Nothing

Jeremy and I are blessed with a loving and supportive family. Our families taught us the importance of family and caring for others. My family all live within five minutes of our home. My parents live just down the street. They are some of the most caring people you will ever meet. They have loved and supported me since birth. They taught me how to respect others, be strong, confident, and empathetic toward others. Most importantly, they taught me that love conquers all. They love Jeremy and treat him as the third son they never had. They also love their grandson Greyson and cannot wait to have more grandchildren. My parents go all out of birthdays and holiday! As Greyson would say, “they are full of magic.”
They love celebrating life’s big and small moments. Holidays and birthdays are always super festive, filled with food, and spending quality time with one another!

Jeremy’s family lives less than one hour away. They are a close family who enjoy spending time together. Jeremy’s parents taught him to be hardworking, independent, and that family matters. They love Greyson and would be thrilled to have more grandchildren. They too love holidays, and prioritize getting their large family together to spend quality time together. They are supportive and will do anything for their family members.

Jeremy and I both have happy memories from our childhood and growing up. Our family asks nothing from us but sweet nothing. Yet, they are willing to provide the world to us. We are blessed to have our family and we recognize how thankful we must be. From our childhood to our lives together, we are surrounded by love.
