Isabella Harding-Breeden was born November 7, 2008 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a terminal infant heart condition. Isabella's mother, Wendi Harding, made arrangements for Isabella to receive palliative care at The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center. Sadly, Isabella passed away on November 9, 2008, the morning of her scheduled transfer to The Children's Home. In honor of Isabella's life and to celebrate her birthday, Wendi holds the annual Isabella's Celebrate Life Luncheon & Auction, to benefit The Children's Home & Lemieux Family Center.

This year, Isabella's Celebrate Life Luncheon & Auction was held at the Grand Concourse in Pittsburgh's Station Square, on Saturday, November 5, 2011. It was an exciting afternoon of delicious food stations, live, silent, and Chinese Auctions, entertainment provided by Betsy Lawrence and John Burgh and a very special presentation of a Brave Award to The Children's Home's Child's Way attendee, Cody. The event was graciously emceed by Kelly Frey, who kept the crowd excited and up-to-date on all of the happenings of the day.
Thanks to Wendi and her family, everyone involved in helping to make Isabella's Celebrate Life Event a success, and everyone who attended, The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center was presented with a check for $8,335 to help the children and families we serve every day. A very special thank you to Wendi and everyone involved in Isabella's Celebrate Life Event from everyone at The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center!
