Want to know more about the adoption process and the choices you have in making an adoption plan for your baby? The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh can help!
Some birthparents need time to decide if adoption is best for them; others come into their first meeting with a birthparent counselor already feeling confident in their decision. In either situation, we are here to help.
Birthparents can be involved as much or as little as they would like. They have many choices from how they want their hospital experience to go, to what level of openness they are comfortable with. They have the option to choose a family, meet a family, and have the family present at the hospital if they would like. If the birthparent needs more time, the baby can go home from the hospital into the care of one of our private transitional care families. With The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh, each adoption is handled individually and with the best care to ensure a positive experience for all parties involved.
