Phillip and Lori

Phillip and Lori

Dear Birth Family,

We can only imagine the choices that you have before you. We sometimes have enough difficulty realizing our own situation, but have already found the adoption process, and our specific journey, to be an amazing experience. We have learned so much about “how things work” and have developed an appreciation for the challenges of the birth family. Thank you for entering this process and considering us as parents for your child.

We both grew up in and continue to enjoy loving, supportive families that play an important role in our lives. Our hope and plan has always been to expand and share the love and joy of our families and each other with children. We look forward to the opportunity to raise children.

As for us, Phillip is one of three brothers, and Lori is one of three sisters. All six siblings attended Penn State, which is where we first met. Our relationship grew through involvement with Lutheran Campus Ministry, and the church continues to be an important part of our lives. Phillip works as a structural engineer and enjoys music and sports like golf and volleyball. Lori is a high school math teacher and loves to sing, scrapbook, and sew. Together we enjoy taking care of our home (and cat Sadie), spending time with family, and traveling.

Phillip finds Lori to be so enjoyable, and always able to make him happy. She has a way to help him remember what should really be important: living life!  Her faith, love, and caring help to make her special. Her spirit and enthusiasm make her a joy to be around. Phillip never tires of being with her and will often talk with her for hours.

Lori finds Phillip to be a thoughtful, intelligent, passionate person. He likes to take the time to carefully weigh his decisions and think about how his actions will affect others. He takes pride in doing his best. Although we may not always agree, we talk about everything. Phillip is respectful of others and their feelings.

We hope this letter helps you in your decision. Please know that your child will always be loved and cared for by us as well as an extended family of wonderful people. Also know that your family will always be a part of your child’s life as well. We will do everything that we can to ensure your child a wonderful, loving home. Thank you so much for your consideration.
