December 5th is International Volunteer Day, a day to kick off the holidays by giving back to your community! Designated in 1985 by the United Nations, International Volunteer Day is described as”…a unique chance for volunteers and organizations to celebrate their efforts, to share their values, and to promote their work among their communities…”.

With the 2017 theme of Volunteer Act First. Here. Everywhere., the United Nations recognizes “Volunteers are present, all around us, answering calls in times of need, helping save lives today, and supporting those who want to continue living their lives with dignity tomorrow,” and our volunteers are no different! We’d like to take this time to thank our past, current, and future volunteers for helping us to continue our mission to promote the health and well-being of infants and children through services which establish and strengthen the family.
