Ranisa Davidson

Ranisa has worked at The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center for the past seven years as a Birthparent Counselor and has recently taken on the role of Adoptive Family Studies Worker. Ranisa provides education and counseling to families who are facing unplanned pregnancies, while working with adoptive families on their home studies and supporting them throughout the matching process. Ranisa also provides counseling services to families and children who are in the custody of children, youth and family service agencies by providing SWAN units of service. Before coming to The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh, Ranisa worked a Mental Health Liaison for Services for Teens at Risk at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Ranisa completed a Bachelor’s Degree from The George Washington University in Communication and Journalism and a Master’s Degree in Health Education at Boston University.
