Schedule and Programs
In addition to skilled nursing care and child development, educational and therapeutic programming is an important aspect of the unique work we do at Child’s Way. Your child will participate daily in circle time, music, outdoor play, dramatic play, story time, arts & crafts, and much more.
Child’s Way has three separate programs running within the infant room, toddler rooms and preschool. Each of the programs is designed to meet the developmental needs of the children to enhance learning and growth. It is important to us that your child spend at least a third of their day in free play to learn individually and socially.
Child’s Way offers a Head Start program in partnership with the Head Start Supplemental Assistance Program through Pittsburgh Public Schools. There are currently 19 preschool children, three in Head Start and two who participate in DART (Discovery Assessment Referral Tracking). We are also provided with training and support through PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies).
