On Tuesday, August 20, 2013, native Chattanooga, TN, three-year-old Cooper, was granted his wish for a Labradoodle puppy at The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center.

Since wish kid Cooper, who just underwent a short bowel transplant, couldn’t make it to a special wish party at home in Tennessee, Make-A-Wish brought his wish to The Children’s Home & Lemieux Family Center instead! To lift his spirits, The Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee granted his wish for a Labradoodle puppy named Oakley. At a gathering in Tennessee on Monday, family and friends made cards and videos to send their well wishes to Cooper. Cooper is the East Tennessee Make-A-Wish chapter’s 1000th wish.

The Children’s Home & Lemieux Family Center was honored to be part of this very special day.
