“Everyone has a favorite teacher…” states the National Education Association, “and there’s no better time than National Teacher Appreciation Week/National Teacher Day to remember those who inspired us to be the individuals we are today!”
May 7th– 11th is National Teacher Appreciation Week, with May 8th being National Teacher Day, a day to thank those who dedicate their lives to bettering our education system. So how can you recognize your favorite educators? As suggested by NEA.org, “Thank A Teacher on Social Media,” or “Wear #REDforED on Wednesday, May 9th.”
With this, The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center would like to say THANK YOU to all our teachers in Child’s Way, our daycare for medically fragile children. Without you, we would be unable to fulfill our mission to promote the health and well-being of infants and children through services which establish and strengthen the family.
“Teachers give us so much. A boost of confidence when we really need one. Extra help when we’re having trouble. A welcoming presence when everything else seems out of control. And though we know we can’t ever thank them enough, we can take a moment during National Teacher Appreciation Week to share our appreciation for the special educators in our lives.”
So join us in saying THANK YOU to our teachers and to educators around the world!
