Anthony and Lindsay

Hello! The two of us are extremely excited to expand our family! Please know that your child will be well loved and cared for. We are committed to providing a nurturing, supportive and stable home for your child. Parenthood has taught us the importance of being patient and understanding, while providing a loving environment full of fun and laughter. We will encourage your son or daughter to reach his or her full potential by seeking out unique and individual interests. We will teach respect, honesty, and trust to instill responsibility as he or she learns and grows. We open our hearts to you and your family and look forward to working with you to the level of openness you decide on for your adoption plan.

About Our Lives…

The two of us met through a mutual college friend and had an instant connection. We quickly fell in love, dated for two years, and have been happily married since 2007! We have a secure marriage and have grown closer through every up and down. Sometimes life’s path goes in a direction that you did not expect. Through all of the twists and turns in our path, we were led to adoption. After learning we could not have biological children, we knew adoption was the answer to our prayers. To us, a family does not need to include biological children. A family is built through nurturing, caring, loving, and supporting, all of which we will continually provide to our children. In 2014, we adopted our son through the Children’s Home. Being given this opportunity to become parents has been the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to us; we are enjoying every minute of it! Our hearts are full of such love and our entire family is excited to spoil another child! We know that Dominic will make the best big brother and can’t wait to see their sibling relationship develop!

The three of us live north of the city, in a quiet family friendly neighborhood with our dog, Emmy, and water turtle, Marty. Anthony is a mechanical engineer and Lindsay is a middle school reading teacher, who also has a lot of experience teaching at the elementary level. We both have been around children most of our lives and love watching them learn and grow. These are the main reasons Lindsay chose to become a teacher. Also, education is very important to us. Reading and sharing the love of books is one activity we cherish. We have a vast library of children’s books that we excitedly read to Dominic! Anthony loves listening to how animated Lindsay gets when she reads bedtime stories to Dominic, especially, “Llama, Llama, Red Pajama” and other “Llama, Llama” books!

In our free time, Anthony loves to go cycling and do anything that includes being active, while Lindsay enjoys reading, sewing, and working in the garden. The three of us absolutely love to be outdoors enjoying the fresh air and nature. Dominic loves playing, running, and chasing Emmy in the yard. Our house is very close to a playground and several parks that allows us to go for walks, hikes, bike rides, or chase Emmy in the dog park. As a family, we love to go to the zoo, aviary, Children’s Museum, and especially enjoy spending several weekends in the summer camping. Sharing the love of making mountain pies, roasting marshmallows, and making s’mores is something we’d love to share with our children! Each year, members of our extended family rent a cabin in Asheville, NC, and spend a long weekend together. Lindsay loves documenting all of those special moments, and always has her camera. If you would like to be updated with pictures, we will have plenty to share!

Family means the world to us. We are blessed to be part of a strong, close-knit family that supports us in everything we do. As well as the vacations, we love having family get-togethers that include going to Lindsay’s aunt’s house for pizza made in the outdoor pizza oven or spending a lazy Sunday afternoon watching the Steelers at Anthony’s sister’s home! As we have a large extended family, all of the cousins are just like brothers and sisters. We all rely on and lean on each other all of the time. On holidays, when all of the extended family is home, it is so fun to watch how excited our children are to play with each other! Our families are extremely excited for us to add another member through adoption!

Thank you so much for taking time to consider us as you make your adoption plan and helping to fulfill our dream to expand our family! We wish you the best as you and your family makes your decisions, and look forward to hearing from you!
