Child's Way Daycare
Child’s Way is a daycare and Head Start Supplemental Assistance Program for children with special medical needs ages birth to age 8 who may also be technology dependent. Our expert staff of pediatric registered nurses and child care associates provides children with consistent medical care while incorporating educational, developmental, therapies and play activities into their daily schedule.
- Staff to child ratio is 1:3
- Center can accommodate up to 60 children per day
- Open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Opened in 1998
Licensing and Accreditation
Child’s Way is dually licensed by the Department of Health as the first Pediatric Extended Care Center (PECC) in Pennsylvania and by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare as a day care center.
Child’s Way has earned a 2-Star rating from the
Keystone STARS program, Pennsylvania’s voluntary quality initiative for child care. Child’s Way is working toward a 3-Star rating and pursuing the
National Association for the Education of Young Children Accreditation (NAEYC).
Child’s Way is a current member of
NAEYC and its affiliates
PennAEYC (PA) and
PAEYC (Pittsburgh).
