Shannon and Mike

Dear Birthparent(s),
There are many decisions to make throughout life and we know that you are currently in the process of making one of the most difficult decisions. We admire your courage and selflessness in making a choice that will greatly impact the baby you are about to have, as well as your own life. We are a young, energetic couple that loves our life together! We met 9 years ago and had an instant connection. We have been happily married for 7 years. We’ve had a lot of challenges the past few years, as we have tried to expand our family of two, but we know that there is a child out there that is meant to be with us, just as you know there is a family out there that would be a great fit for your baby. Here is a little bit about us. Hopefully after reading you’ll be able to envision the life that your child could have, if you choose to have he/she become a part of ours.

About Shannon
Shannon grew up in the Northern Suburbs of Pittsburgh. She is one of three siblings. Her family still lives in Pittsburgh and her parents, who just live five minutes away, are eager to help out with a new grandchild. Her brother and his wife have two sweet little girls who love visiting and playing with the multitude of children in our neighborhood. She has been an elementary and middle school teacher for the past ten years, and is looking forward to being a stay at home mom once we expand our family. She loves cooking and entertaining at our house, taking care of our 3 pets (Ruby, Buster, and Cocoa), exercising, and relaxing with a good book.

About Michael
Michael grew up in Central Pennsylvania. He lived with his mom and grandparents throughout most of his childhood. He has a sister who just had a little baby girl this past Fall. He’s a country boy who comes from a little hometown with less than a thousand people. Michael was the first of his family to attend college and graduate from the University of Pittsburgh. He works successfully in sales. He enjoys gardening, just like his grandfather, and has made our home look beautiful! He also enjoys playing in a men’s soccer league, golfing, and taking our dogs to the local dog parks.

Your Baby’s Life
Our entire family is just as excited as us to welcome a new member. Your baby will have a life enriched with a lot of family and friends, a wonderful education, lots of life experience traveling, and a positive upbringing. Our neighborhood has two wonderful playgrounds as well as a beautiful nature walking/biking trail for kids to enjoy. We also have a local YMCA minutes from our home and a beautiful ballpark for football, baseball/softball, and soccer. Our yard is large and ready for a child to play in, and our cat and dogs can’t wait for a playmate!
